A Fun Week

This past week me and the Laney-Bird had a very fun and eventful week.
Monday we met an out of town friend and her cutie-pa-tootie little boy for brunch and afterwards we went to visit Da Da at work.
Tuesday we went to HJ's house to paint pumpkins (aka "pum pums). The girls are natural artists and even helped paint each others pumpkins, and their shirts, hands and Shanda's nose. . . it was super fun.

Our Punkins paintin' punkins.
Sorry, I had to say it. :)

We really tried to get a picture of them with their pumpkins and even bribed them with the paint bottles, and this is the best we got.  :)
The masterpieces.

Then, Wednesday we hosted playgroup.
And by playgroup I mean -
11 mommas
1 sweet helper
and 21 kiddos!
We had a FULL house and lots of fun.
I don't think I got everyone's picture, but you get the gist.
My dogs were happy to come in and eat up all the crumbs left behind.
We had pumpkin bars for a sweet treat.

Some of the older kids found a nook - to escape the craziness - and check out Laney's library.
This was our youngest guest, sweet Mabry, only three weeks old.
I am really so very thankful to the Lord for the fellowship, the encouragement, the escape, and the fun that this group is.  I can't tell you how much it has meant to me.  I have learned so much from these faithful, God honoring friends.

Thursday I had an errand to run and Laney got to stay with our friends the Neimans.  Laney loves them and for some reason thinks they are the funniest human beings on earth.  Luke makes her laugh by just looking at her.  Her eyes light up at the sight of Lydia.  I only wish you could hear her say her name.  Thanks a bunch Neiman Fam - I heard Laney even got on the trampoline!
We love you!
Thursday evening, I had some tutoring lined up, so Da Da and Laney loaded up and went to Mimi and G's house.
Where she found a big red surprise!
She looks a little scared in this picture, but I assure you she is not and neither is Clifford.
She loves the car, especially the door. I heard the hardest part was getting her out of it to come home. :)

And Friday, well, Friday we stayed home and watched Sesame Street in our pjs and took it easy!
Have a happy week and thanks for reading.
