Our week was a little different this week because Kyle was gone and because Grandma was on spring break. So here are some of the highlights.
Last Sunday we visited New Harmony and went out to lunch at Simply Southern with the fam.
After church and lunch we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house and hung out. And with all of the rush of getting out the door for church I forgot Laney's pack and play - so Grandma improvised and put Laney in my old wagon for her nap! :)
After naptime (which didn't last long) we rode up to the playground on Grandpa's golf cart.
This was Laney's first time swinging. She liked it.
Monday night we had some pretty strong storms and I wasn't really loving it since I was home without Kyle, but Laney slept right through it all and Montana and Duncan took advantage of the snuggle time. Montana snuggled right up in the blankets and pillows I had ready in the hall incase of a tornado warning. That is just SO like her - you have no idea!
On Tuesday we ran some errands and hung around the house and on Wednesday we went to play group to play with friends and a evening stroll with Shanda and HJ.
Thursday we spent the day with Grandma. We had lunch and ran some errands and stopped by Aunt Dianne's to hang out with her and Harvey Jane. It was a fun girl's day!
Laney really loved the spindles on Dianne's porch. She stuck her cute little head through several different ones, just to make sure she wasn't missing a different view.
She also got to try Cheetos for the first time - yummy!
On Friday my parents celebrated 33 years of marriage! I love this picture - I think they look so happy and cute! I love you Mama and Daddy!
Friday night we went over to Mimi and G-Daddy's for dinner and Laney got to see their cat up close for the first time ever. I'm pretty sure she thought it was a dog.
On Saturday we did some things around the house and I washed my car - it needed it desperately. And yes, I know - the pollen isn't over yet, but I couldn't stand to look at my car in that state any longer. Laney-bird played in her pack and play in the garage. She was so good for me.
Later on Saturday Uncle Kale dropped by for a visit!
We took a long walk and Laney got to see some real live ducks for the first time. This is the video of the encounter - she was mesmerized.
Then today, we went to church and Sunday school. When we got home, Laney took a long nap and I laid in the sun for a while and then we played outside for a while. I loved the warm weather this weekend and getting to dress Laney in cute summer clothes. I just love those chunky legs!
It was a very nice and relaxing day.
We had a great week, but there was one big thing missing . . .
DADDY!
We can't wait to pick him up from the airport tomorrow!
