We made it up to Ellijay this year to pick some apples. Along with everybody and their brother and their momma too. We had a good time even though it was super crowded and we got some yummy apples too. I thought I would make a pie or something with them, but we ended up just cutting them up and eating them as snacks. And every time I would cut one up Laney would ask "Is this a farm apple mama?" And I would reply: "Yes, baby, YOU picked this one!"
So, here are the pictures from our adventure.
The petting zoo was a big hit! They had goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, a sweet little calf, a pig, baby chicks and kittens.
And my girl's most FAVORITE part was this long slide. She was so brave and went down by herself, like maybe 15 times. It was so fun to watch, but I will admit it made me a little nervous. I've turned into such a scared-ey cat now that I'm a mama!
Harvey Jane went down too! So brave!
Then we had lunch and if you know Pa - you know he went straight for the fried apples pies and ice cream!
He did share, thankfully.
Then we headed out to the orchard to pick our apples. There weren't that many apples left by then, but we still managed to find some and filled the rest of our bag inside the store.
Pickin apples with Daddy and Pa.
It was a fun family day and it must have been memorable because Laney took her baby apple pickin' in our back yard when we got home.
